‘Crystal Lake’ Expands Cast with Jason, Crazy Ralph & More!

Crystal Lake (2025)

Callum Vinson joins Crystal Lake as young Jason Voorhees, alongside Crazy Ralph, Barry, Claudette, and Rita in the Friday the 13th prequel series.

Camp Blood just got a whole lot bloodier. On July 18, Variety and other outlets confirmed that five new guest stars have joined Peacock and A24’s Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake, including a brand-new Jason Voorhees. Actor Callum Vinson, best known for his work on Chucky, has been cast as the young Jason in what is expected to be a recurring—but not central—role in the series’ eight-episode first season.

This marks the first official casting of Jason Voorhees in the show, who will gradually rise in prominence as the story progresses. At the series’ core, however, is still Pamela Voorhees, played by Linda Cardellini, whose tragic descent into vengeance remains the emotional spine of the prequel.

Straight Out of Campfire Lore

Three other newly revealed cast members will bring familiar names from franchise mythology to life:

  • Nick Cordileone will play Crazy Ralph, the doomsayer who first warned, “You’re all doomed!” back in 1980.
  • Phoenix Parnevik will portray Barry, and Danielle Kotch takes on Claudette — the two counselors whose doomed romance opened the original film and indirectly led to Jason’s death.
  • Joy Suprano joins as Rita, a new character whose role is still under wraps.

All of them will appear in guest roles, adding layers of familiarity and dread for longtime fans.

The World of ‘Crystal Lake’

Created and showrun by Brad Caleb Kane, Crystal Lake is being filmed in West Milford and Ringwood, New Jersey—not far from the real Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, where the original Friday the 13th was shot.

The show has been in production since June 20 under the working title “Mama’s Boy,” a sly nod to Pamela’s obsessive love for her son and one of the franchise’s most infamous insults.
