Massive Friday the 13th Reunion Announced for August 2025 in Burbank.

Friday the 13th fans, mark your calendars! A monumental celebration of the franchise is coming to Burbank, CA, from August 8–10, 2025. The event, titled Crystal Lake Nightmares, promises to be the reunion of a lifetime, celebrating 45 years of the original film’s release in 1980. Actress Melanie Kinnaman, who starred as Pam in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985), confirmed the event on social media, exclaiming, “To all the fans asking me if this is really happening… YES!”

While details about the event are still emerging, fans can expect an array of activities including cast appearances, vendor booths, photo ops, autographs, and exclusive Friday the 13th collectibles. The celebration will honor the legacy of the franchise, which has spawned nine sequels, the iconic Freddy Krueger crossover, and a 2009 reboot directed by Marcus Nispel.

The announcement comes at a time when the franchise has been notably quiet on new projects. Jason Voorhees has spent recent years in legal limbo as original creators battled over rights to the character. The rights dispute, which resembled a custody battle over Jason’s hockey mask, has now been resolved. This legal drama might explain the unusual design of Jason’s mask in the event’s promotional poster.

Although there hasn’t been a proper Friday the 13th project since Nispel’s 2009 reboot, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on Peacock’s long-delayed Camp Crystal Lake series and the enigmatic Jason Voorhees website launched in 2023 by some of the original creators. Both projects have yet to deliver significant developments, leaving fans hungry for more.

For now, Crystal Lake Nightmares offers a chance for fans to come together and celebrate their love for the franchise in the absence of new films. As the event develops, fans can subscribe to the official newsletter for updates on guest announcements and additional details.

Get ready for a bloody good time celebrating 45 years of Friday the 13th. This is a can’t-miss event for horror fans and franchise enthusiasts alike!
